What we’re about
This group is for web practitioners and other professionals who are practicing or intending to practice in the area of web accessibility and inclusive design practices.
The aim of this group is to provide an open and welcoming face to face forum for accessibility or inclusive design professionals in the digital space. It doesn't matter if you work for a large organisation, are an independent consultant or just an accessibility advocate. This group is about regularly connecting Canberra's accessibility community, allowing us to share our knowledge, network and exchange ideas.
This group meets on a monthly basis, alternating between presentation/discussion events with evening meetups over casual drinks. If you can't make a meeting, look for #cwaid on twitter to see what is being discussed.

This month’s topic will discuss digital accessibility training, where to find it, the different topics and how to educate and learn more about accessibility. - OZeWAI Co-chair Bri Norton (AbilityWorks) moderates a panel featuring Dax Castro (Training), Gian Wild (AccessibilityOz), and Russ Weakley (Intopia).

- OZeWAI Committee member Ricky Onsman moderates a demonstration by Kylie Pollock and Scott Nixon of how to use the accessibility features of an iPhone and an Adroid phone to carry out some basic tasks. This demonstration was created for Get Online Week and will be followed by a live Q&A session.
The session takes place from 11.30am-1pm AEST (UTC+10) on Friday 18 October.
