Creating the lightbulb moments when coaching on Flow: 2 key virtual activities to run with your Kanban or Scrum team
Training and coaching teams about the impacts of poor flow have been challenging while we are in this virtual environment. Learn 2 workshop activities I’ve used with over 50 teams (Kanban and Scrum), which continue to create “lightbulb moments” for teams, product owners, and managers.
The Name Game - a 15 min virtual activity which teaches how context switching (too much WIP) impacts cycle time
Demand Analysis - a 30-45 min virtual activity where teams analyze their demand types without requiring ALM data. This can create insights for the teams and leaders about the holistic demand volume and where the teams’ time is being siphoned away from the important work.
*The two tools above require Google Sheets but can be recreated in any collaborative tool used in your organization. If you have a Google account, log on before the meeting if you want the chance to collaborate in the session.
