New Year Twilight Walk (please note "How to find us")
Details
In celebration of the New Year, we’ll quietly explore a woodland in the Town of Clifton Park on this late afternoon and twilight walk. We will listen for the courtship calls of Barred Owls and Great Horned Owls. We’ll also look to identify those animals whose tracks we come across to learn who else takes up residence here. Throughout our hike, we’ll identify some plants in their winter slumber and, if the moonlight cooperates, we’ll stop to identify some trees based on their winter silhouette.
Please bring along your headlamp (preferably with green or red light) or flashlight (with red or green lightbulb or red- or green-colored filter over its lens); we’ll likely need it near the end of the latter half of this walk. Please join me for this unique stop-look-listen outing.
Please wear proper footwear for ice/snow.
