Hello Corgi Owners and Lovers!!
It is that time of year again to start marking your calendars for the annual Corgi Corps group in the Middleburg Christmas parade! This year Christmas in Middleburg is going to be held on Saturday, December 6th. Please note that the Parade time is at 2:00 pm. Many of you who have attended in years past know that there are lots of fun activities the entire day (see schedule, below), and our parade entry has been a fun and favorite parade entry for many years. We all make a sign with our Corgi’s names on it and wear it around our necks, and then march down the parade route with our beloved Corgi’s, many of whom are attired in festive doggy Christmas attire (totally optional!). Be sure to make your sign big enough so that the spectators on the sidewalks can see the name of your Corgi from afar!

The parade participants will be asked to line up around 1:15 pm and we are usually assigned an area near the Sporting Library or the American Legion Hall, on the west end of town on the Plains Road. I will continue to email details to you as I get them from the Parade Committee, such as the staging area location. December 6th, 2025: On Saturday, Christmas in Middleburg is your day to start the season with our joyful family festival:

1. 8:00am – 11:00am; Middleburg Charter School, 101 North Madison Street. The Charter School PTO is proud to present “Breakfast with Santa”! 2. 9:00am & throughout the day; Middleburg Methodist Church, 15 West Washington Street. Breakfast Sausage & Hot Chocolate - Warm up while waiting for the hunt to ride by, & enjoy craft vendors in their yard
3. Throughout the Day: Food Trucks will be in 2 locations: on the west end of town behind the Truist Bank in their back parking lot, AND in the east end, on South Liberty Street near the public restrooms.
4. 11:00am: Middleburg Hunt & Hounds Review - Mounted foxhunt riders and hounds ride down the main Washington Street.
5. 12-1 LOST BARREL CORGI PRE PARTY - stamp/wrist band required to park as paying customer with group - WEAR YOUR UGLY SWEATERS!
6. 2:00pm: Christmas Parade - Floats, groups, clubs and animals down Washington Street.
7. 2:30-4pm LOST BARREL CORGI POST PARTY
8. 3:00pm - 6:00pm: Progressive food, wine tastings, ciders, distilled spirits at establishments from one end of town to the other.

This year it is important to march in a more cohesive manner and also to march fairly efficiently (quickly). In years past the parade was over an hour and a half, which the Organizers feel is too long.
Please spread the word amongst your Corgi friends that the more Corgis the merrier! Also, because I have had problems sending this email to a large distribution group, I am sending it in smaller stages of about 50 email addresses per email. If you get this email twice, I apologize.
I will be sending out a follow up email with our lineup location and other details the week of the parade. Unfortunately, I will be out of town so Bandon & Abby will miss seeing you all, but Michael & Lisa Stocks and their Corgis will have the Corgi Corps signs and the show will definitely go on!
