Skagit Valley Sheep Farm Tour
Details
Let’s go on a road trip! Learn about fiber, see more of our beautiful state, and meet the sheep at two farms in the beautiful Skagit Valley. We’ll also have plenty of time for lunch and knitting/stitching together.
Agenda (subject to change):
- 9-11am - Drive up from Seattle
- 11-1 - Visit 9 Lives Ranch
- 1-3 - Lunch and Knit at Rome Pizza
- 3-5 - Visit Fog and Fleece
- 5pm - Drive Home
Price/Cost
- This event is free to join, but travel and accommodations will be up to you.
- You can donate a bale of hay to the sheep at 9 Lives for $10. One Bale feeds one sheep for a week in the winter!
- Shopping at both farm stores is encouraged but optional
Hotel & Travel
Travel and accommodations (if desired) will be up to you, but you'll have the opportunity to discuss carpooling/sharing at our regular Tuesday meetups.

9 Lives Ranch

9 Lives is a woman-owned and operated sheep ranch in North Bellingham. The flock is a diverse mix of Icelandic, Gotland, and Jacob Sheep. Alongside the ranch, they operate a micro tannery, transforming an often thrown-away part of the animal into gorgeous heirloom sheepskins.
Rome Pizza
2908 Mt Baker Hwy, Bellingham, WA 98226
The Rome Store has been around for over 100 years, and they believe good food starts close to home, which is why they fill use and sell products from nearby makers, growers, and brewers. $5 slices available until 4:00pm.
Fog and Fleece
4269 Y Road, Bellingham, WA 98226
Fog and Fleece is a 55-acre farm in Bellingham with a 100-year-old Historical Heritage Barn. Caroline Vandenberghe leads the management of the farm and flock, and they have over 30 sheep including Icelandic, Shetland, and Romneys.
