Trunk or Treat: CRVN Halloween Party

Don Ferlazzo: Allstate Insurance

We are excited to invite the community to our first vegan Trunk or Treat on October 30, 2021 from 11 am to 2 pm, sponsored by Don Ferlazzo: Allstate Insurance. This free outdoor event will take place at 1673 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065 in the back parking lot near the Allstate entrance.

Festivities will include arts and crafts, prizes, and of course candy and treats free of animal products. Children of all ages are welcome to collect candy, and costumes are highly encouraged!

Taffney's Vegan Treats and Eats will be there for everyone to enjoy with a pop-up sale. Taffney's delicious comfort food is hard to come by, so don't miss this chance to try out her mouth-watering savory chik'n sandwich, Cajun-inspired platter, and to-die-for banana pudding. And you can look forward to Taffney's special homemade candy treats for your little ones!

Community members and families interested in distributing vegan treats are invited to sign up at the link below. Your vehicle trunk will become your candy-giving station and you are encouraged to decorate to add to the festivities (search 'trunk or treat' for tons of inspiration but no pressure to be pinterest-perfect). A vegan prize basket will be awarded to the best decorated trunk!

Please note that this event is vegan: no meat, dairy, eggs, gelatin, carmine, confectioner's glaze, or beeswax/honey. Not sure which candy is vegan? Check out the attached image for some scary good vegan candy ideas or click here for a shorter list: https://www.peta.org/living/food/vegan-halloween-candies/

To pre-order your meal, sign up your ‘trunk’ for treat giving, or to let us know you’ll be joining in the fun -- CLICK HERE: https://bit.ly/CRVNTrunkOrTreat

[Free to participate, meals available for purchase at the event. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required]

ABOUT
________________

Each month our Recipe Club will feature a different recipe blog, cookbook author, or crowdsourced contribution. We will explore food from a variation of sources and cuisines, while learning about how many cultures contribute to the foods we eat and the vegan staples we love. If you haven’t already learned about the expansiveness and diversity of vegan options available, you will during our time together!

All are welcome to join our Recipe Club. If you need some inspiration in the kitchen, are curious to learn more, or just want to join in on the fun – this club is for you!

The best part (besides of course eating the food when you’re done), is each delicious and healthy recipe is 100% vegan, meaning no animal products or by-products will be used.

Each meal helps animals and the environment, while also building our community through outreach, education, support, and advocacy.
