About us
Welcome to our group for casual French conversation and offshoot events in Cardiff! No matter what your ability level, background or motivation, come and join our friendly and welcoming drop-in sessions on Fridays and twice a month on Saturdays.
*Most of our regulars don't mark their attendance on Meetup, so don't be surprised to see no one attending on the event page - there are never fewer than 6 people, most weeks around 10-12 and some popular weeks up to 30.*
We have a WhatsApp group which is used on a weekly basis to see who is going. Please message us directly if you would like to be added to this.
One of the group Organisers is there most weeks, so first-timers will get introduced to the others. However, we cannot guarantee that an Organiser will be there (we are all volunteers with busy lives), so please be prepared to go along and find the group yourself.
Some of our offshoot events are organised by friend of the group, The Cardiff French Hub, a quick reference website collating different French-speaking communities and their events in Cardiff. The owner of the Hub, Jools, organises these events through the messaging app Signal so attendees will need to join Signal for event information. All such events will be indicated on the event page.
