About us
Welcome to the Caregivers of Haitian Parents and Elders Meetup group! This group is for adults navigating the unique challenges of caregiving for aging Haitian parents, while honoring our culture, traditions, and languages. Whether you are seeking support, resources, or simply connection with others who share your experience, this group is here for you.
Not only will we meet as the caregivers, we also want to co-create a community where our parents can join as well so they can also build community.
Join us for discussions, workshops, and activities focused on caregiving for aging parents within the Haitian community. Let's come together to learn, share, and support each other on this meaningful journey. Bonding over our shared experiences in caregiving for aging parents.

Krik-Krak Storytelling Hour(s)
Location not specified yetKrik? Krak! Haitian Storytelling & Connection
Join us for a special gathering celebrating the Haitian tradition of krik-krak - a vibrant, call-and-response style of storytelling that has been passed down through generations. Rooted in community and culture, this tradition begins with a simple exchange - “Krik?” “Krak!” - inviting everyone into a shared space of imagination, laughter, and wisdom.Together, we’ll experience stories, riddles, and memories that reflect everyday life, humor, and the values that connect generations. Historically shared at night in community circles, krik-krak brings people together - young and old - to listen, participate, and keep Haitian culture and language alive. (Visit Haiti)
Caregivers, parents, and elders are all welcome as we co-create a space for storytelling, cultural exchange, and community building. Come ready to listen, share, and respond - Krik?… Krak!
