Informed Participation & Disclaimer
This group offers a voluntary guided imagery and relaxation experience. Sessions may involve entering a naturally occurring relaxed or altered state of awareness — similar to meditation, daydreaming, or becoming absorbed in a story — where the body calms and the mind may become more open and receptive to suggestions related to the theme of the session.
Participation is entirely self-directed. You remain aware, in control, and free to engage, pause, adjust, change posture, open your eyes, simply listen, or step out at any time. Any suggestions offered during the session are invitations only. You are encouraged to take in what feels useful and let go of anything that does not.
This experience is something we participate in together, not something that is done to you.
Sometimes emotions may arise during relaxation or guided imagery. If this happens, you are invited simply to notice them, without needing to analyze, share, or process them. This group is intentionally gentle and non-processing in nature.
This group is not therapy, medical care, or mental health treatment, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. No therapeutic or client-provider relationship is created through participation.
Individuals with a history of seizures or other neurological conditions are encouraged to use personal judgment and consult a qualified medical professional if unsure whether this type of experience is appropriate for them.
