Carlsbad Village Morning Ocean Swim

Our swim group meets every Tuesday and Thursday morning for a swim in the ocean.

Directions: Take I-5 to the Carlsbad Village Drive exit and head west. Follow Carlsbad Village Drive to the end and turn left on Ocean St. Drive straight 1/4 mile into the parking area. We'll meet near the park and walk down to the beach together.

Meet at 5:45, toes in the water at 6:00.

We enter the water and swim together through the breakers. Then we head north or south, then loop back. The total swim distance is 1.5 miles for the fast folks, distance will vary on your skill level and all levels are welcome. Everybody gets a swim buddy.

It is definitely getting lighter every week now. Lights are optional unless there is a serious cloud cover. A simple glow stick is plenty, or if you want to get fancy get a RoadID Supernova from http://www.roadid.com .
