What we’re about

Path Pals – Northern County
Mindful Adventures for Kids & Their Grown-Ups

Path Pals is a nature-based group for children ages 6–11 and their parents or guardians, created to nurture a love for hiking and introduce simple, kid-friendly mindfulness practices along the way.

Our mission is to help children build a lifelong love for hiking while learning to slow down, notice the world around them, and connect with themselves and others. Through regular group hikes, we blend movement, curiosity, and calm — creating joyful outdoor experiences that stick. As kids explore with us, we’ll also build their confidence and stamina by gradually increasing the number of miles walked.

Who Should Join:
Parents or guardians looking for meaningful outdoor time with their kids. You don’t need to be an experienced hiker — just ready to walk, explore, and be present together.

What to Expect at Events:
• Easy, family-friendly hikes on local trails (30–90 minutes)
• Simple mindfulness practices like nature listening, or gratitude sharing.
• Fun ways for kids to engage with the outdoors and each other, as well as achieve little goals of being able to hike longer distances.
• A relaxed, screen-free space to bond, move, and grow as a family

Parents must supervise and remain with their children during all events. This is a shared journey — we hike and connect together.
