What we’re about

We are a blooming society who believe in community over competition. We hold regular Meetups both live and virtual for creatives and entrepreneurs to co-create an open space for idea sharing and goal building. Sometimes separated by distance, we’re always united by a shared desire to empower the creative technical economy of the Monterey Peninsula

Carmel Maker Space, established in 2019 by architect Thomas Rettenwender and filmmaker Mike Buffo, is redefining what it means to be a maker and creator. People of all ages and creative backgrounds will gather, both in person and digitally, to learn, share, and make. Carmel Maker Space aims to bring together local artists across multiple mediums to push boundaries, redefine what is possible, and explore the idea that there is Art in Everyone.
