Fun, friendly, inclusive dancing. Want to meet friendly people, and get some exercise at the same time? The Carolina Dance Club sponsors a long running (18 years), very popular, social dance every Sunday at the Raleigh Elks Lodge.
Come early and participate in a 55 minute beginner lessons prior to social dancing. No partner or prior experience is necessary to join us for the lesson or social dancing.
The Carolina Dance Club is the offshoot of our DJ and Entertainment company, Music and Dance Productions. Our goal, and passion is to provide outstanding social dance opportunities and instruction for our Triangle NC community. It has been our quest since 1996.
My wife Debbie Ramsey and I met dancing in New York City. We moved to the Triangle area back in 1997, and have made this our home ever since. We are professional instructors, dancers and dj's, and love what we do. Debbie Ramsey, is a US Open Swing Dance Champion, California Hall of Fame Swing Dancer, and a fantastic mother of two sons and my loving wife.

TIME: 6:30 - 7:45 pm.
(One hour and 15 minutes for each class. (6 hours of total instruction).

No Refunds.COURSE DESCRIPTION: This five week, intensive class series is for the newcomer to west coast swing dancer or a swing dancer with limited experience. We will be covering 6 count side pass, closed position basic, push break, underarm turn, 8 count whip, starter step, partner concepts and music timing in this class series.
These classes are very friendly, relaxed, and inclusive. No partner necessary. We will be rotating our leaders/followers in class so that you dance with everyone.
Please note that this class series is structured for the dancer who is serious about improving their social dance skills. You will need to practice on a regular basis to keep up with the weekly material. We will be providing a written class step syllabus, and offer weekly video recaps at the end of each class.
PARKING: Please park on the left side of, the front of the buildings parking area. Follow the signs to swing classes. Through glass double doors.

This is perfect for dancers who are brand new to partner dancing, or dancers with limited experience. No partner is necessary. We will be covering 6 & 8 count timing. Learn swing patterns in open and closed position, swingouts, lindy circles, leader-follower turns, starter step and finishes. After this course, you should be confident and ready to swing dance.

2ND SUNDAY AFTERNOON SALSA/LATIN/HUSTLE DANCING & SUNDAY NIGHT SWING DANCING: Two dances for the price of one!
A fun, friendly, and inclusive afternoon and evening of social dancing. We are celebrating 20 years of Sunday dancing at the Raleigh Elks Lodge. Over 100 dancers join us each Sunday for dancing, lessons, and socializing.
All welcome, no partner or experience required. Our dance attendees range in age from their early 20's, to the 70's. Group Discounts Available (10 or more attendees).
Come out, and enjoy this relaxed environment, our large dance floor, table seating, convenient free parking, lite snacks, great air conditioned venue, cash bar (after 6:30 pm). Dress is casual.
AFTERNOON SALSA/LATIN/HUSTLE SCHEDULE: Doors open at 2:40 pm to register. No online registration. Newcomer friendly, inclusive, no partner necessary.
3:00 pm - Beginner Salsa Lesson (included with your admission price).
Social dancing @ 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm - Salsa, Bachata, Hustle, Merengue, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha.ONE PRICE ADMISSION: PUBLIC $15, Students $10 (14-24yrs), CDC Members $12. We accept: Venmo, Paypal, Cash, Check, Credit Cards.
Stay for the 6 pm - 10:15 pm swing dance that begins right after the afternoon salsa dance (included with your paid admission).
