About us
Fun, friendly, inclusive dancing. Want to meet friendly people, and get some exercise at the same time? The Carolina Dance Club sponsors a long running (22 years), very popular, social dance every Sunday at the Raleigh Elks Lodge. We focus on swing (lindy hop, west coast swing), ballroom, country social dancing and group lessons.
Come early and participate in a 55 minute beginner lessons prior to social dancing. No partner or prior experience is necessary to join us for the lesson or social dancing.
The Carolina Dance Club is the offshoot of our DJ and Entertainment company, Music and Dance Productions. Our goal, and passion is to provide outstanding social dance opportunities and instruction for our Triangle NC community. It has been our quest since 1996.
My wife Debbie Ramsey and I met dancing in New York City. We moved to the Triangle area back in 1997, and have made this our home ever since. We are professional instructors, dancers and dj's, and love what we do. Debbie Ramsey, is a US Open Swing Dance Champion, California Hall of Fame Swing Dancer, and a fantastic mother of two sons and my loving wife.

Sunday Afternoon Country Dancing and Evening Swing Dance

A fun, friendly, and inclusive afternoon and evening of social dancing. We are celebrating 22 years of Sunday dancing at the Raleigh Elks Lodge. Over 100 dancers join us each Sunday for dancing, lessons, and socializing. Free parking, air conditioned venue, large dance floor, table seating (cash bar after 6:30 pm).
All welcome, no partner or experience required. Our dance attendees range in age from their early 20's, to the 70's. Group Discounts Available (10 or more attendees).
AFTERNOON COUNTRY DANCE SCHEDULE: Doors open at 1:45 pm to register. No online registration. Newcomer friendly, inclusive, no partner necessary.
2:00 pm Beginner Country Swing Lesson with Debbie Ramsey
3 pm - Beginner Night Club Two Step Lesson with Wesley Boz
(beginner lessons included with your admission price).Social Dancing @ 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm - Country Swing and West Coast Swing, Country Two Step, Waltz, Cha Cha, Night Club Two Step, several line dances.
ONE PRICE ADMISSION gets you afternoon country and evening swing dancing and beginner lessons:

EVENING SWING DANCE SCHEDULE:
6 PM Beginner & Intermediate East Coast Swing Lessons. (included with your admission).EVENING SWING MUSIC: DJ Wesley Boz.
7 pm till 9:45 pm: A mix of Big Band, Jazz, Jump Blues, 50/60's Rock & Roll music for Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Balboa Swing dancers. Top40, Blues, R&B music for West Coast Swing and Hustle dancers.

Sunday Swing Dance and Afternoon NY Hustle Workshops

DOORS OPEN AT 2:40 PM TO REGISTER. (No online registration).
WORKSHOPS: We will be offering three, fun and informative workshops starting at 3 pm. Take one or all three workshops. No partner or prior experience necessary, very inclusive.
SUNDAY WORKSHOP SCHEDULE: DOORS OPEN AT 2:40 pm to register.
3 pm - NEW YORK STYLE HUSTLE FOUNDATIONS:
WE'LL BE STARTING WITH THE VERY BASICS OF THE 3 COUNT HUSTLE in this fundamentals workshop. You'll need these foundations if you want to look good on the dance floor, and move on up to more challenging turns.
4 pm - HUSTLE LEADER & FOLLOWER TURNS: Learn some important leader/follower turning patterns in this workshop.
5 PM - HUSTLE WRAPS: Here we will incorporate your basics turns and step it up a notch or two.
AFTERNOON WORKSHOP COST: Register at the door. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the workshops to check in and get your name tag. Payment Methods: Cash, check, Visa, Master Card, AmEx, Discover, Venmo, Debit at the door.
Carolina Dance Club Members (CDC): $11 One Workshop , $19 Two Workshops, $25 Three Workshops.
Non-CDC Members Public: $15 One Workshop, $25 Two Workshops, $35 Three Workshops. Students (14-24 yrs): $5.00 per workshop. No partner necessary.
BOOT CAMP BANKROLL: When you take all three afternoon workshops, you can get the evening swing dance at 6 pm for just $5.00.
