Fun, friendly, inclusive dancing. Want to meet friendly people, and get some exercise at the same time? The Carolina Dance Club sponsors a long running (20 years), very popular, social dance every Sunday at the Raleigh Elks Lodge. We focus on swing (lindy hop, west coast swing), ballroom, country social dancing and group lessons.
Come early and participate in a 55 minute beginner lessons prior to social dancing. No partner or prior experience is necessary to join us for the lesson or social dancing.
The Carolina Dance Club is the offshoot of our DJ and Entertainment company, Music and Dance Productions. Our goal, and passion is to provide outstanding social dance opportunities and instruction for our Triangle NC community. It has been our quest since 1996.
My wife Debbie Ramsey and I met dancing in New York City. We moved to the Triangle area back in 1997, and have made this our home ever since. We are professional instructors, dancers and dj's, and love what we do. Debbie Ramsey, is a US Open Swing Dance Champion, California Hall of Fame Swing Dancer, and a fantastic mother of two sons and my loving wife.

Class Description: These are well structured, progressive classes. Each week we build on the prior weeks material and give you plenty of time for dancing the material we are learning. Weekly student video taping and a written syllabus will be provided for the course.DOORS OPEN at 6:15 pm to register if you haven't registered early online.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This five week, intensive class series is for the social west coast swing dancer with basic foundations mastered. We will be covering 6 & 8 count side pass variations, reverse whip, push break variations, 2 beat extensions, partner concepts and music timing in this class series.
These classes are very friendly, relaxed, and inclusive. No partner necessary. We will be rotating our leaders/followers in class so that you dance with everyone.
Please note that this class series is structured for the dancer who is serious about improving their social dance skills. You will need to practice on a regular basis to keep up with the weekly material. We will be providing a written class step syllabus, and offer weekly video recaps at the end of each class.
PARKING: Please park on the left side of, the front of the buildings parking area. Follow the signs to swing classes. Through glass double doors.
