Sunday Carolina Shag Workshops and Evening Swing Dance

Learn Carolina Shag in these afternoon beginner level workshops.
Evening Swing Dance follows at 6 pm till 9:45 pm.

Afternoon and Evening Description: Open to all, no partner or experience necessary. Very inclusive workshops and open social dancing.

AFTERNOON BEGINNER CAROLINA SHAG WORKSHOPS
& EVENING SWING DANCE.

DOORS OPEN AT 2:40 PM - TO REGISTER FOR WORKSHOPS. (No online registration).

WORKSHOPS: We will be offering three, fun and informative workshops starting at 3 pm. Take one or all three workshops. Very inclusive, no partner necessary.

SUNDAY WORKSHOP SCHEDULE: Instructor Ryan Boz. Former Jr. National Shag Team Member, U.S. Open Swing Dance Champion and director of The Swing Space in the Triangle NC area.

3 pm - CAROLINA SHAG FOUNDATIONS - Learn the basics of 6 count shag. This is an important first workshop, don't miss it. We will be working on basic partnering connection, timing, footwork of this dance.

4 pm - BASIC SOCIAL TURNS - Here we will give the followers and leaders some turning patterns and technique to look good and feel confident.

5 pm - PIVOTS and MORE - A little more challenging material here.

WORKSHOP COST: Register at the door. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the workshops to check in and get your name tag. Payment Methods: Cash, check, Visa, Master Card, AmEx, Discover, Venmo, Debit at the door.

Carolina Dance Club Members (CDC): $11 One Workshop , $19 Two Workshops, $25 Three Workshops.

Non-CDC Members Public: $15 One Workshop, $25 Two Workshops, $35 Three Workshops.
Students (14-24 yrs): $5.00 per workshop. No partner necessary.

BOOT CAMP BANKROLL: When you take all three afternoon workshops, you can get the evening swing dance at 6 pm for just $5.00 extra.

Stay for the 6 pm - 9:45 pm swing dance that begins right after the Boot Camp workshops.
The evening swing dance is a separate admission charge.

EVENING SWING DANCE SCHEDULE: DJ Wesley Boz
Admission: $10 Students (16-24 yrs), CDC $12, Public $15.
6 pm Beginner & Intermediate East Coast Swing Lessons.
( 6pm lessons are included with your evening dance admission).

OPEN SWING DANCING: 7 PM till 9:45 PM - A mix of Big Band, Swingin' Jazz, Jump Blues, 50/60's Rock & Roll Swing, Top40, R&B, Country music throughout the entire evening. So if you like Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Balboa, West Coast Swing, Country Two Step, Hustle dancing. Come check it out.
