Ride Description: Come join us for a Wednesday rump kicker traversing some scenic territory (and hills) between West Seattle and Normandy Park. The midpoint rest stop is planned at mp 23 at Normandy Market. Bring water bottles and money for food purchases along the route.

Meeting Place: Jack Block Park entrance is off of Harbor Avenue before you reach Salty's Restaurant. Look for big iron archway on water side of street. Please park along Harbor Street to leave the parking lot for park patrons then bike into the park. There are restrooms at the start.

Start Time & Registration: Please arrive no later than 9:40 a.m. to prep your bike, sign the waiver and hear the ride briefing. Create an account here (https://www.cascade.org/user/register). You do not have to cancel if you do not come.

Pace: We'll ride brisk (16-18 mph) on the few flats and go our own pace up the hills (all riders are welcome, including riders that are not members of CBC). If you plan on riding significantly faster or slower than the posted pace, please make sure to download or print out the route so you may continue the ride on your own.

Regroups/Mechanicals: This will be a social ride with waits at the top of hills and all critical turns along with photo op stops along the way. We will not stop for extended mechanical issues. Please come prepared the necessary equipment you need to take care of flats or other problems on your own.

Weather Cancellation: In the event of steady rain or some other major weather event, the ride leader will not be at the ride start. Please check the comment area in this posting 2 hours prior to the ride for ride cancellation announcements.
