Cue-sheets are not provided; please print your copy.
Today's route (44.5 miles/2100ft elevation) wanders through Mill Creek where we'll stop briefly at the rest rooms (mile 5.3), down into the Snohomish Valley, up to the little town of Snohomish. We enjoy the country side and then climb through a nice neighborhood to Lake Stevens. Our rest stop is at the Starbucks at mile 25. We'll sneak into Marysville and then head south, via the trestle and Ebey Island, up (half of) Lenora and then suddenly shock the peace by passing the Everett Mall, continue the Interurban trail, and swing around Silver Lake to get back to the start.
Paces: Steady (12-14 mi/h), Moderate (14-16 mi/h) and Brisk (16-18 mi/h). If you are new to the Free Group Rides, please read an introductions here: https://www.cascade.org/welcome-newcomers
Registration: Your registration on the Cascade.org website is appreciated: https://www.cascade.org/node/38975. You don't need to be a member of the club to create an account. If you have any questions about this process, just contact the series director.
Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to check off your name or sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended! Riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. We regroup occasionally. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group and bring a charged cellphone if possible. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain or other unsafe conditions cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 7:00 am in the comment section. In that case the ride leaders will not be at the start.
