Details

Invitation: Come and check out the the beauty of Snohomish County this fall; we will cover pretty much every corner! Routes start around 35 miles at the beginning of each month and increase to about 50 at the end of each month.

Today's Route:

Steady Pace Route:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/17489035 ; 38.4 miles and about 2000 ft elevation Restroom stop @ 4.2 miles, Rest-stop at Starbucks @ 17.7 miles

Moderate/Brisk/Vigorous Pace Route:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/14470863 ; 44.1 miles and about 2,300 ft elevation Rest-room stop @ 11.5 miles, Rest-stop at Starbucks @ 25 miles

Cue-sheets are not provided; please print your copy. Long fenders are mandatory if the roads are wet or there is rain in the forecast (please!!).

This is an urban route, but you can still pedal for lengthy periods of time! There are no restrooms at the start. The route heads west towards Edmonds. Don't forget to enjoy the views of the Puget Sound. The first stop is a Restroom stop at Lynndale Skate Park. The route continues through North Lynnwood and South Everett and then into Mill Creek where there is a Rest stop at Starbucks. After that the route winds through the more rural part of Mill Creek and North Creek to eventually get back at the Lynnwood Park and Ride.

Paces: Steady (12-14 mi/h), Moderate (14-16 mi/h), Brisk (16-18 mi/h) and Vigorous (18-20 mi/h). If you are new to the Free Group Rides, please read an introductions here: https://www.cascade.org/welcome-newcomers

Registration: Your registration on the Cascade.org website is appreciated: COMING You don't need to be a member of the club to create an account. If you have any questions about this process, just contact the series director.

Expectations (important, please read!): Arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the ride to check off your name or sign the waiver and be part of the safety briefing. S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Front and rear lights are highly recommended! Riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. We regroup occasionally. Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group and bring a charged cellphone if possible. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by having a positive attitude, having long fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain or other unsafe conditions cancels the ride. If the ride is canceled, it will be posted by 7:00 am in the comment section. In that case the ride leaders will not be at the start.

Series director: Dorothé Reijnders, dorothe.nl@gmail.com

We encourage riders to become ride leaders! If you have questions, please ask. For those who have done the class and are interested in doing a mentored ride, please contact Dorothé Reijnders for a great opportunity this week!
