Come join me for a fun ride in the crisp fall air! Fall Cycling is a progressive hill training series, mileage and elevation increase in distance, feet, and grade each week. This weeks ride will be the last moderate paced ride offered in the Fall Cycling Series for 2016.

Ride Start Details: This week’s route will start promptly at 9:30 a.m. at the Old Renton Library in downtown Renton. Restrooms at start. Please arrive early enough to set up, check in and/or sign the ride waiver, hear the route details, and review Cascade riding S.M.A.R.T.

If you are a new rider to Cascade Free Group Rides, we welcome you! Please click on Cascade Bicycle Newcomers in the Links section below and read to learn more about our rides and some important information.

Registration: Please register for this ride in advance on the Cascade site.

You can register now by selecting Cascade Registration below. Once at the Cascade site, select the Register Now button at the top of the page, then follow the prompts. To return to the Meetup site, hit the back arrow in upper left corner.

• Cascade Registration (https://www.cascade.org/node/39540)

Online registrations at Cascade are accepted until 6 AM of ride day, after that all riders must sign up at the ride start. In addition, all are encouraged to RSVP on Meetup, to sign up on Meetup see the RSVP box in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Ride Requirements:

• Please print off and bring cue sheet, if one is needed.

• Please be knowledgeable and equipped with tubes, pump, etc to handle flats or minor mechanicals.

• It is important to bring adequate food and water as there may be limited opportunities to purchase along the way.

• If roads are wet, fenders are necessary. Long fenders and buddy flaps are absolutely required unless it is bone dry out, and zero percent chance of rain forecast. A good headlight and taillight are recommended.

• Helmets are required to ride.

• A good attitude is absolutely necessary. These are challenging rides; yet, we are here to have fun and support one another on the ride.

Regroup: We regroup at the top of hills and at major turns for a reasonable amount of time. This is a training series so we will ride with the best interest of the group in mind. Stops will be brief.

Planned Stop: Mile 4.7, McDonald's, and mile 23.9, Chucks Donuts.

Cancellation: Ice, snow or otherwise unsafe riding conditions will cancel this ride. In the event of a cancellation, a notice will be posted in the comments section in both the Cascade and Meetup postings. The original ride posting is subject to change due to weather conditions and safety too.

Looking forward to seeing you!
