Join us for a fun ride around San Juan Island. This is a beautiful loop with lots of diverse scenery. The route (https://ridewithgps.com/routes/18845469)will keep you entertained with constant climbs and descents.
There will be several stops along the way:

For those interested in making a weekend of it, check out the Tour de Lopez event that occurs the day before (on April 29th). Tour de Lopez: There are four routes (5, 12, 17 & 31 mile) and cost is $45 to register. Registration sells out so book tickets in advance. http://www.lopezisland.com/tourdelopez.htm
Logistics: Make sure you are at the Port on Sunday 20 minutes before ride start. If you're taking a ferry that morning, allow for plenty of time. You will need to sign a waiver to ride with us. Riders will be responsible for transporting their own luggage and carrying a lunch on the ride.
Ride Organizers: Alexa Volwiler (360-303-0526) and Frieder Mack (360-244-3083)
Rain Cancellation: Steady rain/Ice/Snow cancels. If weather is looking really wet/cold, the ride leader will notify of cancellation 2 hours or more prior to ride start and will not be at the ride start. Please check Meetup or Cascade before heading out.
Long/Full Fenders required if you plan to ride with the group and roads are wet.
Pace: This ride is multi-paced. We plan to offer steady, moderate and brisk pace groups. For those outside of that range, please feel free to join but you might be self-guided.
Mechanicals: The group will not wait long for mechanical issues so place make sure you have the tools required to fix flats. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group.
Regroup: The group will ride together at the designated pace; however, this is a hilly route. If you find you are having a hard time keeping pace or are a slower climber, you might be asked to wait for the group behind. Please have a cue sheet in case you get separated.
