Join us for a fun 25 mi ride through Redmond to visit most of its active fire stations (16, 13, 18, 17, 11, and lastly 12). It includes some busy roads but mostly neighborhood streets. There are also some climbs, but we’ll be taking our time over the entire ride and its around 1700 feet of elevation.

This will be a social ride and unusual in the sense that we’ll visit each station for about 15-20 minutes to tour the station, check out the engines, find out about the fire service and the life of a firefighter, and just have a good time. If the firefighters are out on a call, we’ll just continue to the next station. Plan to spend a total of 3.5 – 4 hours. The interruptions will cause you to cool down a bit, so please make sure you have appropriate clothing along.

We meet in the East Lake Sammamish Trail parking lot next to Whole Foods. Riders should be able to sustain a Steady pace. Please download the route to your device or print your own cue sheet. Please come with the skills and equipment to change a flat; the group does not stop for mechanicals.

Please RSVP. It’s not required, but much appreciated. Also be sure to sign the online waiver by clicking on the red Register Now button for this ride on the Cascade.org web site. This will save us time at the start. Plan to arrive 20 minutes prior to the start time to hear the route briefing and safety notes.

The weather is predicted to be nice, but any important info will be posted in the Comments section in both the Cascade and Meetup postings at least two hours before the ride start.
