The Pie Ride, the kind you can eat. This 60-mile ride includes it all, trails, small towns, farmland and short section of Hwy 410 as we head for an outrageously tasty piece of pie at the Pie Goddess in Enumclaw. The route leaves Sumner heading out to Orting, up the gentle incline of the Foothills trail to South Prairie and on to Buckley. We leave Buckley on a short stretch of Hwy 410 connecting to Mud Mountain Rd and a ride through Enumclaw farmland. Don't miss the Mt. Peak Alpaca farm on 284th and if the weather cooperates a view of Mt. Rainier will be waiting to greet us as we make a left on 456th on our way to a mid-point stop for coffee and pie. The second half of the ride includes more country roads and farmland before making our way back up the 410, back on Pioneer, down the Foothills trail and return to Sumner.
Bring: equipment to fix a flat, money for food stop, helmet, two water bottles and print the cue sheet if you do not know the route.
If the ride is canceled, it will be noted in the comment section 2 hours prior to the ride and Ride Leader will not be at the start.
Stops: mile 3 (optional porta potty) mile 18 (porta potty) and food stop mile 30
