Sumner - Pt Defiance (50 miles, 1899' elevation, Moderate 14 -16 pace)

Please join us for a ride from Sumner, through Tacoma and around Pt Defiance Park. At the park, we will enjoy the views from 5 Mile Road which will be closed to vehicle traffic until 1:00 PM. This ride will have spectacular views including Commencement Bay, the Narrows, Historical homes and more. We will have a lunch stop (15-20 minutes) at the Antique Sandwich shop (25-mile mark).

Restrooms at the start plus at the 17, 25 and 38 mile markers.

8:30 am is a roll out time. Please aim to arrive by 8:00 so you have time to get ready, sign the waiver, and listen to the safety briefing. In addition to showers, any other hazardous conditions will cancel the ride. If the ride is canceled due to hazardous conditions, the notice will be posted here in the comments section below, and on the Meetup announcement page two hours prior to the start time on the day of the ride. If that notice is posted, the ride leaders will not be at the start.

Bring: tools and equipment to change a flat and print off a cue sheet if you do not know the route.
