What we’re about
We are a team of experts and educators passionate about Apache Cassandra™:
Apache Cassandra is an open source NoSQL distributed database trusted by thousands of companies for scalability and high availability without compromising performance. Linear scalability and proven fault-tolerance on commodity hardware or cloud infrastructure make it the perfect platform for mission-critical data.
We periodically organize two kinds of events, focused on Open Source Cassandra and related technologies:
- Cassandra Days, which are one-day conferences aimed at beginners and experts alike and are focused on a particular country or region - sometimes in a language other than English;
- Cassandra Global Meetups, short meetups where experts present one or two talks on some interesting/novel topic concerning Apache Cassandra, or simply moderate an open discussion with all participants.
Scroll down to see the upcoming events! And please note that participation to those, either as speaker or as attendee, require acceptance of the Anti-harassment policy quoted below.
Contributions
One of our goals is to build and help the growth of a community around Apache Cassandra. That not only means that everyone is invited: your active contribution is more than welcome!
Do you want to present the cool application you/your company created with Cassandra? Do you feel like sharing your expertise on a specific topic? Please apply to speak!
Our submission form lets you choose the (virtual) venue, if you want - or you can leave it out if you have no preferences

Anti-harassment policy
Registration to any event, as well as submission of contributions to the above CfP form, implies full acceptance, in its entirety, of the anti-harassment policy quoted below:
Cassandra Day is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled without a refund, at the discretion of the event organizers.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, unwanted photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Sexual language and imagery will not be tolerated in any event venue, including talks. Exhibitors should also refrain from using sexualised images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event without a refund. We expect participants to follow these rules at all event venues and related social events.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the event team immediately. The team can be reached through the interactive event chat or through the "Organizers" contacts below.
For in-person events: The event team will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security (as available) or local law enforcement, provide escorts to walk you to/from your room/car/taxi/etc, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the event. We value your attendance.
