About us
Cat Junction is a Munich-based jazz combo—and a growing community for people who believe live music is better when experienced together.
We perform jazz, swing, soulful melodies, spontaneous improvisation, and classic arrangements with our own Cat Junction personality. You’ll find us playing concerts, hosting jam nights, and appearing at cultural venues and jazz clubs around Munich.
This group is for everyone: dedicated jazz listeners, complete beginners, musicians, non-musicians, Munich locals, internationals, newcomers, couples, groups of friends, and solo adventurers.
You don’t need to understand jazz or already know someone in the group. Just bring your curiosity. Our goal is to create welcoming evenings where people can enjoy excellent live music, discover new places, and meet one another naturally.
Some events have fixed-price tickets; others are supported through voluntary hat contributions. Every event description will explain the arrangement clearly.
Come for the music. Stay for the atmosphere. Leave with a melody—and perhaps a few new connections.

Glockenbachwerkstatt, Blumenstrasse 7 ,, München, DEA concert? A jam session? A five-hour Friday-night adventure?
Honestly, the labels stop mattering once the groove begins. 🎷
On Friday, 11 September, Cat Junction takes over house-band duties at the Glocke Jam inside Glockenbachwerkstatt.
We’ll set the night in motion with the full Cat Junction combo, live arrangements, spontaneous improvisation, and enough swing, soul, and groove to carry us well beyond midnight. From there, expect the energy and unpredictability that make a jam session special—musicians meeting in the moment, ideas appearing from nowhere, and no two tunes sounding exactly the same.
You may arrive planning to stay for one drink. We make no promises about what time you’ll actually leave.

There is no fixed contribution for Cat Junction. Instead, we’ll pass around a hat during the evening.
If the music makes you smile, move, or stay much later than planned, you can drop in whatever feels right. Every contribution helps Cat Junction keep rehearsing, creating, and bringing more live music to Munich.
Cash for the hat is appreciated—but your presence, energy, and applause matter too.

Cat Junction - Live @ Kultur im Trafo
Kultur im Trafo, Nymphenburger Str. 171a, Munich, DEFour venues. One band getting tighter, bolder, and increasingly difficult to ignore. 🎷
Cat Junction played its first official concert at Jazzclub Republik in May. In August, we return at Tom’s Jam Session, followed by a September appearance as the house band at Glockenbachwerkstatt.
Then, on Friday, 30 October, our musical journey through Munich brings us to Kultur im Trafo.
If you have already seen us, come hear how the band has evolved. If you haven’t, this is the perfect moment to discover what Cat Junction is all about.
Expect jazz, swing, soulful melodies, spontaneous improvisation, and familiar arrangements with our own personality woven into them. Some moments will make you listen closely. Others may make sitting still surprisingly difficult.

Admission is €10 per person.You may RSVP for yourself and bring up to five guests. Your guests do not need Meetup accounts, but please include everyone in your reservation.
The member making the reservation is responsible for the full party. For example, one member attending with two guests pays €30.Reserve your places early, and please update your RSVP if your plans change.
