◆ EXPERT TALK ◆
Ádám Koronics /DevOps Engineer@Webstar/: From Dockerfiles to Buildpacks: A Faster Path to Production Images
Most of us learn containerization by hand-crafting Dockerfiles. It works — but it’s also easy to waste time on boilerplate, fight inconsistent base images, or accidentally ship something that’s bigger (or less secure) than it needs to be. In this talk, we’ll show an alternative approach with Buildpacks: a more convenient way to turn your application into a production-ready container image, often without writing a single line of Dockerfile.

You’ll see short, hands-on demos with Angular and Spring Boot. The examples are inspired by real patterns and constraints we’ve seen in Webstar customer projects — the kind where speed, consistency, and “it works on every machine” actually matter.

If you want to build and ship software like a pro, this session will give you a practical shortcut to production thinking.

◆ TALENT SPOTLIGHT ◆
Zalán Vadász /PTE-MIK/: Scientific Outcomes of Space Technology Research and Education
CosMIK is a student research group at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, built from scratch in late 2024 around a simple conviction: that meaningful space engineering is possible at a regional university. This talk presents the scientific and educational outcomes of its first two years of operation.

On the engineering side, the group developed Mimike-II — a CanSat platform that reached its first hardware revision within six months. Parallel academic work produced two podium finishes at the local TDK conference.

On the education side, CosMIK runs CanSatLab — now in its second year — a programme that teaches high school students to design and build real CanSats, run in parallel with the CanSat Hungary competition. The group has also represented the university at three public outreach events and sent five members to the 8th Winter Satellite Workshop.

Project Palantír is a Free-Space Optical Communication (FSOC) payload for LEO missions, developed in partnership with the Suborbitals team and currently in Phase B development.
