Trust Issues

We look forward to welcoming you to CatchIT's upcoming event!

We bring you an Expert talk and a Talent spotlight this time, so you can look forward to the following presentations (and of course open discussions)!

-----

◆ TALENT SPOTLIGHT ◆
Zalán Vadász / Student @ PTE-MIK: AI in the Crosshairs of Cybersecurity
Artificial intelligence creates new opportunities, but it also provides cybercriminals with powerful new tools. Recognizing deceptive messages, fake images, manipulated voices, and fraudulent websites is becoming increasingly challenging. This talk presents our campaign, which aims to help the public to identify AI-powered online threats and use the digital world more consciously and securely.

◆ EXPERT TALK ◆

Szabolcs Csermák / Ethical Hacker, Founder @ WebShield IT Security Kft.: Does vibecoding solve all our problems?
AI can now turn a few lines of text into a working application in minutes. That sounds amazing — but what happens when nobody really understands the code anymore? In this talk, we’ll look at vibe coding from a security perspective, using real-world development and penetration testing experience to explore what AI-generated code actually looks like once you start digging into it.
We’ll talk about the mistakes developers make when they trust AI too much, the mistakes models like Claude and OpenAI make on their own, and why “it works” definitely doesn’t mean “it’s secure.”

We’ll also tackle a bigger question: if AI does most of the junior-level work, how do junior developers ever become seniors? Vibe coding can make us dramatically faster — but it may also be creating a whole new generation of bugs, security issues, and developers who can build things they don’t fully understand.

You are also welcome to enjoy local, hand-made snacks and drinks on site. Register as soon as possible, as the number of participants is limited!
