Help us officially start off the 2024 biking season with a springtime ride that will take us on an enjoyable 7.6-mile stretch of the Montour Trail’s northernmost segment. We’ll begin at Montour Trail’s actual starting point – the “Mile 0” Trailhead at Coraopolis and ride southwest into North (Continued in next column →) Fayette Township and back, completing a 15.2-mile round-trip that follows Montour Run’s scenic, meandering path. Our destination / turnaround point will be Enlow Trailhead & parking area, just beyond the Enlow Tunnel. Like most of Montour Trail’s course, this segment is relatively flat, with a few gentle hills. It is very scenic, cutting through much pastured and semi-forested lands as well as more developed territory such as Park Manor Drive near the Mall at Robinson.
NO RENTALS HERE!! Please be aware that since no rental shops are available along this segment of the Montour Trail, this ride requires bringing your own bike or borrowing one from a friend or fellow CAC’er!
TRAIL RATING: Easy to moderate. Mostly easy. After our ride, we’ll pay a visit to a popular dining spot at Robinson Town Center, or The Pointe at North Fayette! As usual, no advance notice is required to take park in this ride, but inquiries can be made to Ivan by calling or texting (865) 278-8679.
