Bike Ride

Details
Join us for our Memorial Day weekend bicycle outing as we return to one of our CAC favorites: The Yough River Trail from Boston, PA to Sutersville! This ten-mile local segment of the Great Allegheny Passage will take us from the Boston Bridge to Sutersville and back, completing an almost 21-mile round trip along the Youghiogheny’s meandering path. Enjoy the familiar backyard views of idyllic riverbank settlements while hopefully taking in the aromas of the holiday weekend’s barbecues. Naturally, we will stop for ice cream treats at Paisano’s convenience store, our destination and turnaround point, before heading back toward Boston.
After the ride, we will visit a local dining spot for a leisurely late lunch/early dinner. BIKE RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE ON THIS RIDE! Trailside Treasures bike rental shop, located at the base of the Boston Bridge by the trail access, rents coaster bikes for $10 per hour.
We will meet at the parking lot of the Boston Trail access, near TrailSide Treasures. (See the address above.) Reservations are not necessary, but inquiries can be made to Ivan: Text to (865) 278-8679 (mobile).
Trail rating: Easy.
** NOTE: There will be more people in attendance than have RSVP'd on Meetup **
