Meadowcroft Village is a National
Historic landmark located about 1 hour
from Pittsburgh. Tour the archaeological
treasure, a rock shelter used 19,000 years
ago by the region’s first inhabitants, the prehistoric hunters and gatherers. At its interpretive villages, you can step back in time to encounter rural life over the past
500 years. Explore a wigwam and test your arm with a spear thrower in the Eastern Woodland Indian Village.
Experience an 18th century log cabin, trading post, a blacksmith’s forge, and a one room school house at the
19th century Historic Village.
We will meet at the Visitor Center. There is a $15 admission charge.
