August Bike Ride

Details
We visited a southern branch in May, now we’re taking on the northernmost segment of the popular Montour Trail August 17th. Meet in the parking area of the “Mile 0” trail access. From there, we’ll follow Montour Trail’s curving course south, then west into North Fayette and back, completing a 15.4-mile round trip that follows Montour Run. Our turnaround point will be the ENLOW trail access, just beyond the old Enlow Railroad tunnel.
This segment of Montour Trail is relatively flat and very scenic, cutting through pastured and forested lands, as well as more developed territory such as Park Manor Drive near the Mall at Robinson.
Bring Your Own Bike! Sorry, no bike rentals are available. After our journey, we will visit a Robinson area dining spot for early dinner. No reservations are needed, but inquiries can be made to Ivan by calling or texting 865-278-8679.
Challenge Rating: Easy; surface is crushed limestone. Directions: From Pittsburgh, follow Route 51 toward Coraopolis; After crossing a bridge, make a very sharp right turn into the Montour Trail Access entrance road. (A sign for Snyder Steel/Scrap is at the entrance to this road as well as the Montour Trail sign.)
** NOTE: There will be more people in attendance than have RSVP'd on Meetup **
