Skyview Urban Hike

Join your CAC friends for an urban hike featuring Station Square, a ride on both inclines, the views from Mt. Washington, Market Square, and Point State Park. This is a walking tour through key parts of the city, taking advantage of various sites and amenities. We will meet at the Dancing Fountain at Station Square at 1 PM. Then at 1:15, we will take the Monongahela Incline up to Mt Washington. At the top, we will walk along Grandview Avenue for about 1 mile to the Duquesne Incline. We will ride it down to the bottom and hike over to Station Square, where we will get a look at the Gateway Clipper Dock and Fleet. Then we will stroll across the Smithfield Street Bridge and head over to see PPG Place and Market Square. Then we will proceed over to the fountain at Point State Park. Our next stop is the Gateway Center Subway, which we will ride back to Station Square for a meal. (There is a small bus fare.)

This is a great chance to see and delight in some spectacular city views and attractions, while enjoying a pleasant stroll with friends followed by a meal. Note: One-way Incline fare is $2.75 cash ($2.50 with a pre-paid Connect Card.) PAT bus passes are accepted. If using cash, be sure to have exact change, as no change can be given. Pennsylvanians, 65 and older who present a Pennsylvania Senior ID Card or a Senior ConnectCard can ride free.
