About us and code of conduct (please read)

Regular meetups involving craft beer, brew pubs or independent breweries, featuring witty conversation between interesting, worldly and like-minded folks.

This is an amicable craft beer meetup group and we encourage people to come alone or with a friend/partner.

We have an informal code of conduct, please give them a read:

- Meet Up events are intended to be a fun, safe space, where you can meet other people who like the same things as you.

- Meet Ups will only be organised by known, trusted organisers. If a non-organiser, who you have never met, contacts you and suggests that you should go somewhere else, this won't be part of the Meet Up group so we suggest you think about your safety before going.

- You should never feel pressured to drink beer, never mind do anything else. If you do, you can always come to one of the organisers with your concerns.

-it is the individuals responsibility to manage their intake of drink and safety but with support of the organisers if required.

- If anything else happens at a Meetup that you feel uncomfortable about, please tell the CBGB organiser as soon as possible, preferably on the night itself.

Guests
Those members who are bringing guest to the CBGB meetup. please remember that they are your responsibility and must follow our group rules .

If the guest breaks the group rules or cause any issues, the member and guest will sanctioned and disciplined by a CBGB organiser.

Harassment Policy:

CBGB (Craft Beer & Good Banter) meetup is dedicated to providing a harassment-free community for everyone, regardless of sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, body size, race, nationality, or religious beliefs.

We do not tolerate harassment of community members in any form. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the community at the discretion of the CBGB organisers.

Harassment includes but not limited to offensive verbal or written comments related to sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, body size, race, nationality, or religious beliefs, deliberate intimidation, threats, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any CBGB meetup event. Community members asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Sponsors and presenters are also subject to the anti-harassment policy.

If a community member engages in harassing behaviors, the CBGB organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the CBGB meetup community. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a CBGB organizer immediately.

Harassment Includes but not limited to:

-Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neurotypicality, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion.
-Unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment.
-Deliberate misgendering or use of “dead” or rejected names.
-Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior in spaces where they are not appropriate.
-Threats of violence.
-Incitement of violence towards any individual, including encouraging a person to commit suicide or to engage in self-harm.
-Deliberate intimidation.
-Stalking or following.
-Sustained disruption of discussion.
-Unwelcome sexual attention.
-Patterns of inappropriate social contact, such as requesting/assuming inappropriate levels of intimacy with others.
-Continued one-on-one communication after requests to stop.
-Deliberate “outing” of any aspect of a person’s identity without their consent except as necessary to protect vulnerable people from intentional abuse.
-Publication of non-harassing private communication.
-Unwanted direct message solicitation after being asked to stop.

Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the community at the discretion of the CBGB organisers.

Dealing with violations

First Offence- A formal written warning.
Second Offence- Temporary ban (up to CBGB organisers to decide on length of ban ) and a written warning.
Third Offence- Permanent ban.

For more serious offence we will ban the member straight away.
