Tai Chi Qi Gong & Form Class Beginners & continuing newer Students

10:00 AM to 11:00, Please Be 5 to 10 Minutes EARLY so that you can pay, register and we can start class on time.
We will be emphasizing Tai Chi Qi Gong, Prof. Cheng Man Ching's 8 Ways, movements from the Tendon Changing Classic and 8 Pieces of Brocade. After students have gotten the movements and principles down then the Class will concentrate on learning the Micro 15 Movement TC Form-Opening moves through Grasp Sparrows tail on both sides, then closing moves. The basis of the entire CMC 37 movement form. The moderately talented student should expect to complete the 15 movement set in two to three months if they come regularly. From there we will concentrate on the rest of the Form. The entire 37 movement CMC form takes about 8 to 12 months to learn if you attend the class often and practice at home. The form accelerates as you go as there are several repetitious movements throughout it.
This form is instrumentally suited to beginning to help you develop balance and leg strength along with a sense of one's body in space-both internally and externally, while relaxing and calming the body and mind. Development of ones center and keeping that center while moving will be emphasized.
The Tai Chi form is taught following the 5 Tai Chi Principles and with the spiritual and health aspects in mind. Class will be conducted in a friendly atmosphere of a Martial Arts Exercise Class for older students concentrating on Tai Chi Chi Kung.
