About us
Brites is a safe and friendly community services organisation for the common good.
"The common good" is the conditions of society which are beneficial to all, such as: public health and safety, clean air and waterways, protected parklands, institutional integrity, stable climate, affordable/renewable energy.
As a community services organisation, altruism is a fundamental part of our identity and as such we are deeply involved in the non-for-profit sector - cooperatively serving those who are struggling or suffering is the heartbeat of our organisation. As such, we manage an ecosystem for charities in Australia to get timely and relevant information and connect with supporters, volunteers and eachother - hopecloud.org.
Currently, We are hosting a series of "charity summits" recurring monthly at 4pm on weekdays. These summits are a platform for charities in the same niche to connect, nationwide, with supporters, volunteers and each other face-to-face.
Furthermore, we host two events in weekend.
- A book club focusing on humanities self-education through the the lens of "progressive revelation" in world history - dawns.au.
- A spiritual society oriented on happiness - led by Thomas Burnside who is a realised mystic in the Christian faith - abiding.au.
Melbourne Australia is our headquarters but the organisers are an Australia/Fillipina couple with strong ties to the Philippines and an interest in supporting synergies between our Philippines and Australian members and their organisations.
We are currently looking for someone local to Cebu to host a weekly in-person walking event - please reach out to us if you are interested.
If you feel ready to join as a member please get started with a 2-week free trial to our Telegram community (launchpass.com/brites).
