As one of your co-hosts, I wanted to share something close to my heart — and something I think will resonate deeply with many of you.

This July 18–26, I'm going home.

I'm returning to the Scottish Highlands as a co-host on a small, intimate cultural retreat in Argyll — and I would love for some of you to join me.

WHAT WE'RE DOING

We'll be based on the shores of Loch Awe, and our week includes:

🪨 The ancient standing stones and cairns of Kilmartin Glen — one of the greatest concentrations of prehistoric monuments in Scotland

⛵ A ferry crossing to the Isle of Iona — sacred ground at the heart of Celtic Christianity

🏰 Inveraray Castle — and an evening at The George, the heart of Inveraray on Games night

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The Inveraray Highland Games on July 21st — where a member of the committee will be giving us a personal welcome to the Games

🎻 An evening Ceilidh — traditional music, storytelling, and dancing under the Highland sky

🌅 Morning and evening yoga on the shores of the loch to greet and close each day

HOW TO BOOK

Eight days of fiddle and sound immersion with Colin MacLeod, Tai Chi and movement with Dr. Michelle Greenwell (greenwellcenter.com), intuitive painting, sound baths, beach walks, and Cape Breton music nights in the spiritual home of Celtic fiddle. No prior experience needed — bring your curiosity (and your fiddle if you like). $800 + tax.

Float the Warren-to-Hatton stretch by morning (10:30am–1:30pm), join the Slow Down to Speed Up play-by-ear workshop (3:30–5:30pm, $95 adult / $65 ages 14–17), evening concert with Colin 6–8pm, open fireside jam 8–10pm, overnight camping, Sunday morning tune. Come for the full day, float + concert, or concert only from 6pm.
