About us
We're the community around the Center for Psychedelic Space — an independent research center in Amsterdam working at the intersection of yoga, psychedelics, philosophy, and AI, dedicated to expanding the frontiers of consciousness.
"Psychedelic" here means mind-revealing — the ways the mind opens itself to itself, whether through meditation, deep thought, a moment of insight, or substances. We take that seriously enough to map it carefully, and lightly enough to stay curious. The Center grew out of "Psychedelic Experience: Revealing the Mind", a book published by Oxford University Press (2023), has been supported by the Templeton Foundation, and builds its own AI — Delphi — to think alongside us rather than for us.
But this group isn't a lecture series. It's where the work becomes a room full of people.
The heartbeat is the Sangha — small weekly gatherings in Kokopelli, Amsterdam. Each week a handful of people meet for two hours in the evening. We sit for a few minutes, share where we are and what's alive for us, then get hands-on: working with AI, testing ideas, following a hard question a little further than you could alone. Come once. Come every week. Come once a month. It's casual, low-stakes, and there's always a seat to return to.

Around the Sangha, the Center runs its wider life: workshops, the Great Chakra Debates, symposia, contemplative evenings, and one-off gatherings as they arise. This group is where we'll post all of it.
Who comes: philosophers, scientists, meditators, yogis, artists, designers, psychonauts, coaches, technologists — people with a working balance of discipline and creativity, structure and chaos. Psychonauts who can sit still. Rationalists who have had the experience.
You don't need a background in any of this. You need curiosity, and a willingness to leave your certainty at the door.
Come with your hardest question. We'll take it seriously.
Led by Dr. Aidan Lyon, founder of the Center for Psychedelic Space.
