About us
The Central Band Scotland is looking for new members to join our friendly, relaxed community wind band. We are an amateur ensemble open to brass, woodwind and percussion players of all ages and abilities, no auditions required. We are particularly keen for new brass and saxophone players. Our rehearsals take place at Morningside United Church at Holy Corner from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm on Mondays.
We enjoy playing a varied programme of music that changes regularly, ranging from traditional band repertoire to more contemporary and fun pieces. Highlights of our year include performances at local events and festivals such as the Royal Highland Show.
Whether you’re returning to playing after a break, looking to meet fellow musicians, or want to take part in a sociable musical group, we’d love to hear from you. We even have some brass instruments if you need to borrow one - just get in touch!
