## Welcome to Our Social & Activity Group

A relaxed and friendly group for people aged 50+ who enjoy getting out, trying new things, and meeting great company along the way.
We offer a wide variety of easygoing, social activities, including:

• Casual dinners and pub nights
• Movies and occasional live sport outings
• Trivia and quiz nights
• Bushwalks, BBQs, and outdoor catch-ups
• Live music and entertainment
• Board games and social games
• Theatre, dancing, and book club
• Karaoke and more

Whether you’re looking to get out of the house, meet new people, or simply enjoy good conversation and a few laughs, you’ll be very welcome here.
New members are always introduced and made to feel comfortable—there’s no pressure, just a friendly group and enjoyable events.
We welcome both men and women, and would especially love to see more men join us to help keep the group balanced and social for everyone.

## Getting Started

To help everyone feel comfortable at events, we ask that members:

• Use a clear, recent face photo
• Provide your first name

This makes it much easier to recognise each other when meeting in person.

## Membership

We use Meetup to organise events, which involves ongoing costs and time behind the scenes.

• A $10 membership fee is requested within 2 weeks of joining, and before attending your first event
• Annual renewal is $10, due by 31 January each year

## Event Guidelines

To keep things running smoothly for everyone:

• Please RSVP accurately and update your status if your plans change
• Some events may require a deposit to secure bookings
• If a deposit applies, details and timing will be included in the event listing

This helps us manage numbers and be fair to venues and other members.

## Group Etiquette

We aim to keep the group enjoyable, relaxed, and welcoming for all.

• Be respectful and courteous to fellow members, venue staff, and the public
• Keep the focus on enjoying the event and good company
• Ongoing no-shows or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the group
