What we’re about
Welcome to the Central Coast Creative Writer's Group!
Whether you are starting out, already published or in dire need of some inspiration then this is the group for you! We meet the last Saturday of the month at the beautiful Bamboo Buddha Cafe in Holgate.
We take a casual approach to our sessions offering a mix of socialising, proofreading, workshop activities and feedback. All are welcome no matter their skill set or goals.
A typical session lasts 2 hours and is very loosely split in the following way:
12.00-12.15: getting to know each other and drinks/lunch.
12.15 - 1.30 : workshop activities and prompts.
1.30 - 2.00pm: feedback and discussion on individual projects.
It is our hope that our sessions will inspire your writing and take them in new/successful directions. Respect and privacy are of the essence as we know our words are such personal aspects of who we are as writers. So we ask that any stories you hear from other writers remain in the group. We encourage all members to contribute and offer suggestions for future sessions. We are all amateur writers here so everyone has something they can bring to the table. :)
