About us
This group is a chance to enjoy some fresh air while chatting with new (and familiar) people, with the bonus of feeling artsy. Most of the meetings will involve gathering at a picnic table with each of us bringing crafty/creative activities to work on (e.g., I might bring crochet or a coloring book while the person next to me might be drawing) so we have something to do while talking. Not feeling crafty? Feel free to bring a book, board game, whatever else, or just yourself.
Do you have to be good at crafty hobbies to join? Absolutely not! The activity you bring is for you (unless you choose to share), so there’s nothing to prove; the main goal with this format is just to reduce the awkwardness of sitting and talking.
I also might throw in some random meetups for things like farmer’s markets and walks, because why not?
Please feel free to bring friendly dogs if you think they can sit patiently at the table with us.
You might notice that some of the events specify age ranges or women-only. If you do not see one of these specifiers in an event title, it is open to everyone.
No-shows: If you no-show more than once (meaning your RSVP was “yes” as of the start time, but you didn’t come), your membership to this group may be affected.
