Mattress Recycling at The Mustard Seed!
Did you know that 85% of a mattress is able to be recycled? Come and help The Mustard Seed of Central Florida recycle mattresses and box springs! The Mustard Seed started recycling mattresses in 2011 in order to keep their doors open so that they could help the Central Florida community. Since 2011, we have deconstructed 30,000 mattresses and box springs saving 690,000 cubic feet in the landfill, reducing dump expenses and protecting our environment. The Mustard Seed’s mattress recycling program offers employment opportunities for people deemed unemployable and provides on the job training so they may achieve self-sufficiency and become contributing members of society.

What we're about

Public Group

Random Acts of Kindness and Senseless Acts of Beauty is what I live by. Our meet-up was created to provide an avenue for those who wish to volunteer through a variety of ways. By helping a neighbor who is down on their luck, helping animal shelters, volunteering at a large event or assisting in helping an organization raise awareness, we can all help make a difference in our community.

If anyone would like to help organize, please email me, help is always appreciated. Thanks.
