Rock Springs River Trail

This walk has some nice variety, alternating between shaded woodlands, river bottoms, hills and ravines along the Sangamon, and even some open prairie grasslands. The walk is 3.9 miles, with only 167 feet of elevation gain. I would rate it at Moderate for our group,

Apres-Hike will be at Pop's Place, a fun local hangout only 6 minutes from the parking lot at Rock Springs Conservation area, on the way to Hwy 36/72. I will reserve a separate room for our group. To attend please go to the Apres event and RSVP.
