# New Jersey's Premier Soccer Meetup

Welcome to New Jersey's Premier Soccer Meetup! This group is for people who enjoy playing recreational soccer in a fun, organized, and respectful environment. We typically meet twice a week, on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
If you have suggestions to improve the group or would like to organize additional meetups, feel free to contact the organizer.

## Membership & Game Fees

• Annual Membership: $45 per calendar year, due by January 15 (valid only until December 31st of the current calendar year, not a rolling 12 months from the payment date)
• Members who pay the annual fee are eligible to play for the regular $5 per game.
• Players who choose not to pay the annual membership fee are still welcome to join but will be charged $10 per game.
• Game fees may be collected before the game or on gameday. Payment can be made by cash, Zelle, or Venmo.
• If a player misses payment, they will be required to pay before RSVP closes the night before the game or they will be removed from the attending list.

## Game Information

• If fewer than 16 players have RSVP'd by Friday at 12:00 PM, the game may be canceled or rescheduled.
• If the scheduled field becomes unavailable, we will move to a backup field whenever possible. If no alternate field is available, the game may be canceled.

## Group Rules

1. RSVP Commitment
   • If you RSVP "Yes," please make every effort to attend.
   • If you do not show up without updating your RSVP, you will:
     • Be charged a $10 no-show fee, and
     • Be suspended for the next game.
   • Please update your RSVP no later than 10:00 PM the night before the game.
   • Canceling after 10:00 PM the night before the game will be considered a no-show and charged a $10 late cancellation fee.
2. Sportsmanship
   • Play respectfully at all times.
   • No slide tackling.
   • No pushing, fighting, threatening behavior, or abusive/offensive language.
   • Remember that we're here to have fun—this is recreational soccer.
3. Chaser Rule
   • If you kick the ball out of play, you're expected to retrieve it for the other team.
4. Goalie Rule
   • If selected by the current goalkeeper to play goalie, you are expected to take your turn.
   • If you are injured and unable to safely play goalie, you may be excused for that game. However, if your condition prevents you from fulfilling the goalie rotation, you may not continue playing that day.

Players who repeatedly fail to follow these rules may be removed from the group so everyone can enjoy a safe and positive playing environment.

## What to Bring

We provide pinnies whenever possible, but please bring both:

• A white shirt
• A dark-colored shirt

This helps us divide teams quickly if additional pinnies are needed.

## Attendance & Waiting List

To avoid overcrowding, attendance is limited.
Your spot is guaranteed only if you:

• RSVP, and
• Arrive on time for roll call.

After roll call, any open spots will be offered to players on the waiting list who are present, in waiting-list order. If you are late for roll call, your spot may be given to someone who is present and waiting.

# TERMS, WAIVER & PRIVACY (New Jersey)

By joining, registering, RSVPing, or participating in this pickup soccer group ("Group"), you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or have the required parental or legal guardian consent, and that you are physically capable of participating.
• You understand that soccer involves inherent risks, including but not limited to collisions, falls, weather conditions, unsafe playing surfaces, equipment failure, serious injury, permanent disability, or death, and you voluntarily assume all such risks.
• To the fullest extent permitted under New Jersey law, you release and agree not to bring claims against the Group organizers, assistant organizers, volunteers, sponsors, field owners, facility operators, permit holders, municipalities, and their respective employees or representatives for injuries, damages, or losses arising from your participation, including claims based on ordinary negligence. This release does not apply to gross negligence, reckless conduct, or any liability that cannot legally be waived.
• You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above parties from claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your actions or participation.
• You authorize emergency medical treatment if necessary and accept full financial responsibility for any medical expenses. The Group does not provide medical or accident insurance.
• You agree to follow all posted and announced rules. The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, abusive, or inconsistent with the spirit of the group.
• Any dispute arising from participation in the Group shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of New Jersey, and, where permitted by law, you waive the right to a jury trial or participation in a class action.
• We may collect basic information, such as your name, contact information, and limited technical information, solely to manage events and communicate with members. We do not sell your personal information.
• These rules, fees, and terms may be updated from time to time. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the most current version.
