North St. Community Trail/StoryWalk/Loop "Walk and Talk"

Details
This peaceful paved urban trail opposite MaineGeneral's Thayer Center for Health runs along the Messalonskee Stream, behind the Alfond Youth Center and North St. Recreation Area.
As part of a StoryWalk, stands placed along the way depict passages from a children's book. The trail also offers beautiful views of the stream. See the attached photos for a preview.
We'll start from the edge of the small parking lot for the trail and beyond the end through Rosedale St./Ave. We'll then continue along Edgemont Avenue to loop back onto North Street. Per this "Waterville Walks" map, we can continue the North St. Loop from North St. onto West St., then Gilman and Park Streets before we walk back.
Length: about two to three miles round trip (depending on the route).
If we're up to it, afterward, we can stop for ice cream at the Dairy Cone across from the Alfond Youth Center, which opens at 1 pm.
Where we'll meet: In the small parking lot for the trail across from the MaineGeneral Thayer Center for Health next to the North St. Community Garden; the lot has space for 5-6 cars, but there's parking along that side of North Street.
