Rotary Centennial Trail (Winslow-Benton)

This flat, mostly dirt, but partly gravel-lined rail trail features beautiful views of the Kennebec River and a variety of trees and fauna along its banks. Signs denote the different types of trees, and there are mile markers.

The weeds alongside the path are fairly tall, and if we make it to the end (before we loop back), we might pass through some tall grass. The rest of the path is free of it.

If we feel up to it, we can stop at a local eatery for lunch afterward.

Note: Not to be confused with the Peter Garrett Trail (former East Kennebec Trail) across from it.

Where We'll Meet: Near the round Rotary club stone (pictured) next to the unpaved parking lot at 65 Kennebec Trail Road in Winslow (off Benton Ave.).

Length: 45 minutes to an hour and a half (4 miles total round trip, if memory serves).
