Two Cent Bridge/Head of Falls in Waterville ➡️ Winslow Community Trails

Details
During this straightforward, scenic stroll, we'll cross the Kennebec River via the Two Cent Bridge at the Head of Falls to reach Scott Park on Benton Ave. in Winslow.
From the paved pathway around the park, we'll walk along Benton Ave. before we cross onto Choate St., then Stobie, to the Winslow Schools. On the school grounds, near the tennis courts, we'll pass through a trail that leads to other paved paths that loop around the schools.
The shaded dirt trail section -- mid-walk -- is a short, pleasant highlight. After the paved paths at the schools, we'll return to the park and cross back to Waterville.
The route is mostly flat, but slight inclines around Scott Park and on Stobie St. lead up to Choat St. and the schools. See the attached photos for more details.
Length: at least two miles; 45 minutes to one hour (at a moderate pace). The two-hour event timeframe includes lunch -- if we're up to it afterward.
Where we'll meet: the kiosk near the benches in front of the Two Cent Bridge (pictured); parking is available in the lot to the right of this spot (closest) and to the left. If you're using GPS, set it for "Head of Falls Park" or "Head of Falls" in Waterville.
