Join us for a pleasant loop along some well-maintained former logging roads, which feature many different types of trees. In between, we'll catch glimpses of the nearby Martin Stream below. The routes we'll take are mostly flat, with some wide and narrow paths.

If the ground isn't too soggy, we can also try another nearby trail, with some uneven spots, at 202 Covell Rd., where we'll meet/park (opposite the first trail).

Robin, a member of our group, and her husband recently donated Larone Woods to the Somerset Woods Trustees. At some point, a kiosk and map will be set up. Robin will guide us on these trails she and her husband walk regularly.

There are a few grassy sections; please wear proper footwear, including bug spray, and dress for the weather, which looks like it will be partly sunny in the mid-50s.

For a preview of the terrain, please see the attached photos.

Length: An hour to an hour and a half, depending on our pace and whether we do both trail sections. Lunch is an option afterward.

Where We'll Meet: At 202 Covell Rd.; as pictured, there's an electrical box with the numbers "202" in black and white. You may park on the gravel-covered grass here (off the street). If you use GPS, set it for "Larone Woods."
