⚛️ The Satanic Panic

On Tuesday, we will have an informal discussion about the Satanic Panic of the 1980s, and discussing points raised in the CBC podcast miniseries 'The Devil You Know'. 6 of the 8 planned episodes will be out at that time. So far, this has been a surprisingly refreshing take on the topic.

The Satanic Panic that gripped nations, was featured on Oprah, ruined lives, and then was just forgotten. This is very relevant to modern moral panics over topics like trans liberation, gay grooming conspiracy theories, and Q Anon conspiracy theories.

Before the discussion, we meet for dinner (see separate event to RSVP).

First 3 meetings are free. All Humanists, atheist, agnostics and any friendly people are welcome out.

We will meet at the offices of Murdoch Travel, at 28 Currie St

• When you enter the parking lot, you'll see a loading bay. Drive to the ➡️ right side of the building.
• After turning the corner, you'll see the Murdoch Travel sign at the far door.
