-- Ideal for those with no convolutional neural network (CNN) knowledge 🧠, but a bit of python knowledge 🐍.

The cutting edge of vision based machine learning is the Convolutional Neural Network!

In this meetup we'll teach you the basics of what are convolutional neural networks, how they work, and get your hands dirty building your own using industry standard tools. We will then go a step further and also show you how you can better understand why the CNN is making specific predictions using an open source interpretability tool called SHAP (https://github.com/slundberg/shap).

Meetup structure:
1850 - Intro & Lightning talk on CNNs + Interpretability
1900 - Hands on coding
Some time after that - Pizza and drinks!

Learning outcomes:
We aim to get everyone understanding enough about CNNs to start using them and also know where to go to learn more.

Requirements:

  • your own laptop (+ charger)
